Bombay, 1986. As the newest darling of Bollywood, Tara is willing to do anything for the perfect performance — even if it means stepping into the shadowed lanes of Kamathipura to study the lives of sex workers for her next film. What she doesn’t expect is Chandra. A prostitute — bold, defiant, and impossible to look away from. And she certainly doesn’t expect to fall in love with her.
